Ocala Chamber CEP Said to have attacked The Belleview Chamber hoping to kill yet another competitive company. Mayor Dobkowski says "no way".
No, the Ocala Chamber Partnership should not be allowed to attack the Belleview business chamber. That is unfair trade practices by a government funded agency. The CEPFlorida.com was formed to stop practices like this. People are sick and tired of tricks to avoid laws and the sunshine by government officials. Maybe the elections will shine a light on the Government Agency called the Chamber Economic Partnership and all the millions that flow in and out.
MCBCC must rethink having a "River City Dude" do a job that should be done by commissioners and county staff. MCBCC must stay in the Sunshine, and follow FS 112.311 on Ethics when using FS 125.045 EDC authorization or Chapter 286 Sunshine laws. Instead, they have given their job to a local company along with Marion County governmental powers and tax funding.
Just think we have hired a $200,000 plus CEP promoter to give away our taxpayer dollars and do things we used to do for free. Citizens used to network and put on Marion County Day events for example. Now you must pay thousands just to go to County funded events.
