CEP Florida® highlights the Florida CEP Special Milk Program
Commissioner Putnam supports the lunch program that makes a difference in Florida Families. Hungry children benefit and are grateful for the nutrition.
Adam H. Putnam Commissioner
Follow the CEP Florida Special Milk Program. You will be glad you did. While we battle on about our political beliefs it is easy to forget the hungry kids here in Florida. It is a good thing that Ag Commissioner Adam Putnam hasn't forgotten what is like to be a kid and grateful for a tall glass of milk. Help us at CEP Florida. com to support Good'old Country Farm Boy, Putnam in putting food on the table for hungry kids.
Based on the expanding trend of families and especially children falling into poverty in Marion County, the increased sales tax may hit especially hard. CEP Ocala, Meals Program is recognized by CEP Florida as the target for improvement in 2016 - 17. Returning to 2010 poverty levels of nearly 25% of Marion County families will be an outstanding achievement. Community Eligibility Provision is possibly the ticket toward better nutrition may come from the CEP Free Community Eligibility Program under Commissioner Adam H. Putnam.
Instead of charging for meals the CEP Free program uses already in the system data to qualify Marion County low-income children for CEP Free Community Eligibility Possibilities. On a personal note, when I was a schoolboy in the late 1940’s, we enjoyed 3¢ milk by the one-pint carton. 10¢ would buy a young child three pints of milk, white or chocolate with a penny as change. Many a day that was breakfast and lunch for many of us. We knew it was a good deal and indeed it was. Even as children we knew the government was watching out with milk and cheese as well within our financial reach. Agriculture is the key to nutritious school meals and Adam Putnam is the man lots of kids would look up to if they knew he is throwing his political weight behind food for kids school breakfast and lunch programs.
